The Centre N A Rive, who work since 1973 in literacy, francization, social integration and socio-professional of newcomers with little education from Haiti and elsewhere, organizes Saturday, August 18, 2012, the 5th edition of the Haitian Book Day, at the bistro "Bouk'entrain" of Centre N A Rive, 6971 rue St-Denis (corner Bélanger - Jean-Talon metro), Montreal (Canada).

This 5th edition of the Haitian Book Day will be hosted by Maguy Metellus and will be an pportunity to discover the works and meet the authors of Haitian origin and of Quebec !

Guest of honor Gary Victor, one of the most widely read novelists in Haiti, winner of Casa de las Americas 2012, will sign his new novel "Maudite éducation". Tribute to Joël Des Rosiers, recipient of the prestigious Prix Athanase-David for the whole of his work, exchange with the author, testimonies and readings accompanied by 3 musicians of roda de samba ! Tribute to the poet Raymond Chassagne that will sign his latest book of poetry and to the historian Ghislaine Rey-Charlier.

Activities for young people ! Libraries of Montreal will give life to certain albums, including those of Dany Laferrière, Mimi Barthélémy and Marie-Célie Agnant. Will also be present, Rogé, the illustrator of "Haïti mon pays".
