Haiti - Economy : The ED'H plans to double its revenues for 2012-2013 25/09/2012 10:44:53
Andress Appolon, indicated that she will put the final touches to a recovery plan and announced in this context, the return to the discipline, focused on the strengthening of the marketing, distribution and production. This will not only improve the recovery of unpaid bills, but also to improve the production and distribution of electricity throughout the country. Stressing that the priority was to increase the company's revenue, the recovery rate is about 33% [2011-2012] she declared : "We expect to increase our revenues during fiscal year 2012-2013 from 4.2 billion to 9.1 billion gourdes." According to this plan, the ED'H target a recovery rate of around 95%, a very ambitious goal, since the recovery rate of the best electricity company in the world reaches 98%... Among other measures contained in the action plan, she announced that 110.000 meters, allowing the reading of the consumption remotely (without access to the customer's property), had already been ordered and on the other hand, a pilot project of prepaid meters would be implemented soon.
