Bernard Degraff, Director General of the National Old Age Insurance (ONA) announces that the Office will launch in October, the project "Biznis pam" intended for the financing of start-up.

"[...] Biznis pam is a brother program of ONAPAM, who will issue credits of greater importances hat small loans of ONAPAM. It will be intended only to the starting of new small business, in other words the start-up.

We will make pilot experiments, we're not going to take much, we'll start with two projects and up to 5. We will present them to the press, and present the success story. According to the experience, thereafter, we will be able to have 50, 500, but we do not need to be big, we need quality, we do not need the quantity [...]

I think this is justice for all those who can not obtain credit from their bank, because banks have a lot of standards, they have things they can not do. Us, as financial institution of social nature, we received a clear mandate from the President, who is to ensure that all people who can not get bank credit, have access to credit, and we did it. Already there are more than 3,500 beneficiaries of small loans ONAPAM, amounting to nearly 50 million gourdes and they will repay them, because the small reimburse, the experience has proven and will continue to support them. We can even take 2 or 3 of them, that have the ability to change towards the project Biznis pam.
