Haiti - Reconstruction : Announcements of President Martelly in Gros Morne
Saturday, the President Michel Martelly, visited the town of Gros Morne where he was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Fritz Chéry and thousands of citizens.

During his visit, the Head of State has announced the launch "adoquinage" (installation of paving stone) work of 35, 000 square meters in the city. In addition, he announced the the repair of a generator [offered by the Deputy Chéry and down for several months] and promised to pay the 7.000 U.S. dollars, essential for the repair.

In addition, he indicated that at the level of the Electricity of Haiti, all steps were taken to launch tender contracts for the electrification of the town, from Tuesday, October 9 to allow the people of Gros Morne, to have electricity 24/24 in accordance with his political vision, which plans to provide electricity in all Haitian households during his tenure.

On the other hand, the Head of State stated that it would do his best to find in the National budget, the funds necessary to the construction of a modern public market to allow the population of Gros Morne and surrounding communities to have adequate space to buy and sell their products.

This visit was an opportunity for the President to recall the steps taken by his administration, so that the free school is accessible to the entire population. He also informed that he had passed instructions to the authorities concerned, so that in the high schools and national schools of the town, there is a second shift dedicated to vocational training, as he already recommended through twenty schools in the capital. Indeed, he believes that vocational training is an asset for young Haitians, he asked formally to the Minister of Education to include in the educational curriculum, from the 3rd secondary, courses such as : electrical, mechanical, plumbing, computer, etc... Through this initiative, the Head of State believes contribute to offer young people a viable alternative.

Very satisfied with the visit and of statements of President the thousands of supporters came acclaim him for the occasion, have showed him their commitment and renewed their belief in a better future for Haiti.
