In a notice, the General Directorate of the National Port Authority (APN) in its capacity of Authority designated under the application of the International Code for the security of ships and port facilities (ISPS - International Ship and Port Security), reaffirms its determination to prevent any attempt to threaten the safety of ships in the Territorial waters of Haiti.

Consequently, new arrangements have been made with the Coast Guard of Haiti, the Ports Security Officers, in order to jointly guarantee the safety of ships stationed at anchor awaiting a berth.

In addition, the Directorate informs the ship captains, that an agreement has been found between the Coast Guard of Haiti and the APN in order to have the presence 24/24, of a patrol boat.
