The students of the Centre of Planning Techniques and of Applied Economics (Centre des Techniques de Planification et d'Économie Appliquée - CTPEA), are organizing the second edition of their debate tournament, which will take place this Saturday and Sunday, 20 and 21 October 2012. Established in 2007, the club "ECHO" of this institution of higher education, launched last year the first edition of this tournament.

As a prelude to this tournament, old and new club members attended the October 12 and 13, a training on debating techniques of the Austrian philosopher, Karl R. Popper (KP). The training aimed, firstly, to learn to the new debaters of the club the format KP, nd secondly, to strengthen the capacity of elders to discuss.

The first edition, held last year, was a success, both in terms of number of participants to the prior training, of the effectiveness of the tournament that the quality of debate and the positive reaction of the public.

The Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL) renews its support to the club ECHO in its efforts to create the usual practice of debate among students. It provides them with its trainers, its documentary resources and its experience in the organization of debates. he first part of the tournament will be opento the public at 19, boulevard. Harry Truman (Bicentennial) October 20 from 9:00 am. he final will be held to Kaliko Beach Club, Sunday, October 21 (the cost of the spectators are not supported)
