If the interest in literary writing is clear, the problem of the transmission of knowledge and of know-how in this area remains a major challenge and an obstacle to the renewal of the literary creation.

"L'Atelier Jeudi Soir" and the French Institute in Haiti (IFH), have decided to organize writing workshops led by the animators of the Atelier, under the direction of Lyonel Trouillot, with the aim to contribute to the transmission of knowledge and know-how in the field of literary creation and provide a framework of expression to participants.

The workshops take place at the IFH, from 12 November to 12 December, with two weekly sessions of three hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

The work done in the workshop could subsequently be presented to the public in various media.

Conditions of participation

Send to the library of the learner (IFH) before October 26, 2012 :

• A letter of motivation: name, age, personal presentation, expectations of the workshop

• The productions already produced: full text or excerpt from a writing project

The cost of this workshop is 1,500 Gourdes

The selection panel will be composed of two representatives of "L'Atelier du Jeudi soir" and a representative of the IFH. The results will be then communicated to the selected individuals, which will be invited to come and finalize their registration with the Accounting Officer of the IFH, in the week of November 5, 2012, between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm at the French Institute in Haiti, 99, Avenue de la Martinière, Bois Verna Port-au-Prince.
