Last week, Luis Bigott, the Vice Rector Academic of the Bolivarian University of Venezuela "Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela" (UBV), announced during the opening ceremony of the International seminar on epistemology of South and research in education, which was held at headquarters of campus, campus in Los Chaguaramos (Caracas), that the University was studying the possibility of opening a branch in Haiti, to contribute to the development and cooperation of various strategic areas.

Mr. Bigott explained that the opening of this branch of the UBV, in Haiti, will allow to work in the agriculture, energy, management and social organization "This is a project n which we work for the reform of study centers of the university and the approach of the municipalization and the redesign of programs [...]"

The Bolivarian University of Venezuela [created in July 2003] is an institution of higher education of replacement of traditional education system, whose mission is the social projection linked to socio-economic development, environmental, cultural and educational of communities.
