Haiti - Culture : 71st anniversary of the National Bureau of Ethnology

Wednesday, October 31, brings the 71st anniversary of the creation of the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE). To mark this date, the BNE is organizing a series of cultural events from October 31 to November 2, 2012 among other activities for this period : Ceremony Guédé, painting, video projections, assembly of texts Creole.

Program from 6 pm :

October 31:

Opening and celebration of the Creole language ; Assembly of texts Creole by Marc Valès ; Day dedicated to Jacques Roumain Founder of the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE).

November 1:

Evening dedicated to Mambo Lucienne ; Gbòhoun with Famn Zil, the groups Menfò and Vodou-là and Prayer Musundi by voodoo practitioners of Gonaïves.

November 2:

Festival of Guédés ; Gbòhoun with Famn Zil and the groups Menfò and the National Troupe of Haiti.

Performance video by : Maksaens Denis, Mackenson Ismael, Romel Jean-Pierre, Emmanuel Dorsainvil, Alex Louis, David Boyer and Steevens Simeon.

These cultural activities were supported by the CCV (Virtual Cultural Centre), of the Ministry of Culture and AfricAmericA.
