Haiti - Social : JCI sign a memorandum of understanding with Media-Texte
The 2nd National Convention of the Junior Chamber International (JCI-Haiti), is held from 1 to 4 November 2012 at the Hotel Roi Christophe in Cap-Haitien, on the theme : "Advocacy for a youth of entrepreneurs citizens trained and committed". On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between JCI and the Printing Media-Texte.

The company Média-Texte [created in July 1994], believes in the "social business", in other words, it wants to accompany and support a variety of initiatives for the advancement of the community. In this agreement, it undertook to oversee the JCI in the implementation of activities and projects oriented towards its members and the Haitian community.

Média-Texte nd JCI will share, their desire and their respective competences, in order to allow the real and effective integration of young people in society and youth development. Both institutions are committed to implement specific projects to boost the sector of youth entrepreneurship in Haiti.

"In the process of operationalization of the MoU, an emphasis will be placed on active citizenship and youth entrepreneurship. To this end, our joint action will focus on this important issue," declared John Walter Destiné, 2012 National President of JCI.

For his part, the Director of Printing Média-Texte, Mr. Joël Lorquet said he was "very proud of this partnership which undoubtedly, will benefit the community and hopes that this cooperation to expand and grow for a long time."

Wilbrode Béon, the Mayor of Cap-Haitien, who attended the ceremony stressed "this MoU is worth it ; because it is necessary to have a new class of entrepreneurs to really change Haiti."
