Haiti - Football : National Team rises in the rankings
Haiti ruled out of qualifications Brazil 2014, was rewarded for its efforts with a leap of 17 places in the ranking FIFA/Coca-Cola [latest edition].

Haiti is now 5th among CONCACAF Nations, just behind Jamaica and the big teams like Costa Rica and Honduras and 60th place overall, just behind Scotland, Bulgaria and Poland.

This shows that the Haitian players are back on the upward path, as confirmed by Jean-Marc Alexandre, who plays in MLS in the San Jose Earthquakes "We have made progress, there is no doubt about it [...] the coach [former Cuban international Israel Blake Cantero], brought an offensive philosophy, which corresponds to our mentality. His message is very well understood and his system corresponds to our qualities. If everyone plays to the best of his abilities for the national team, it is thanks to him."
