The First edition of "Haiti Fashion Week 2012", officially launched by Jean Mario Dupuy, Minister of Culture, on September 18, hosts for 4 days, from November 8 to 11, at the Karibe Convention Center, forty fashion designers from around the world.

"Haiti Fashion Week 2012" is an initiative of the Haitian Support Centre and of Promotion of Enterprise (Centre Haïtien d'Appui et de Promotion d'Entreprise - COPE) and of Haitian Network of Designers (HAND), under the high patronage of the Ministry of Culture through the European Programme of Support to the Strengthening of Culture and Art for the Economic and Social Development of Haiti (ARCADES).

Coming from, among others, of the United States, France, England, Japan, Switzerland, Argentina and Barbados big names in international fashion such as Channel will be alongside our Haitian designers including : David André, Fahimy Hakim, Maguy Durcé, Miko Guillaume and Phelicia Dell.

During these 4 days, international buyers will have the opportunity to discuss with the creators Haitian and foreign, visit booths, admiring the collections and participate in conferences and workshops.

"Haiti Fashion Week 2012" is a showcase allowing the encounter of international buyers f the fashion and accessories industry with the creators of Haiti.
