Haiti - Culture : The Haitian art present at «Art Basel Exhibition Miami»

In order to promote Haitian art at the highest level, the cultural section of the Consulate General of Haiti in Miami is celebrates this year, "Art Basel Exhibition 2012" in conjunction with the art gallery "Haitian Heritage Museum" and "Haitian Arts Alliance" from December 6 to the 9.

"Miami Art Basel Exhibition" is one of the largest annual cultural exhibitions of contemporary art held in Miami Beach every year since December 2002. This cultural event showcases more than 300 art galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

On this occasion, the "Haitian Heritage Museum will present "The Jacmeliens: Haiti Contemporary 2012", a group exhibition that will showcase the best works of various artists from Haiti. The exhibition also reveals a "VIP Vernissage" on December 6 and 7, starting at 7: 00 pm at the Haitian Heritage Museum, located in the heart of the Miami Design District at: 4141 NE 2nd Avenue, Suite 105C.

The second exhibition of Art will be represented by the gallery "Haitian Arts Alliance". Edouard Duval Carrie, artist and curator, will focus on contemporary expression, while spreading a multitude of artist from the French Caribbean. Haiti will be represented by renowned artist Asser Saint-Val. This great cultural event at the "Little Haiti Cultural Center" located at: 212 NE 59 Terrace Miami, FL. 33137, will be open from Thursday December 6, 2012 and will end on February 16, 2013.

The Consul General of Haiti in Miami, François Guillaume II, warmly encourages everyone to take part in this great cultural event.
