Haiti - Diplomacy : Wishes of Maghreb and the Middle East

On the occasion of new year and the 209th anniversary of Haiti's independence, King Mohammed VI (Morocco), President Abdelaziz Bouteflika (Algeria), King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalif (Bahrain) and Ali Al-Rashed , President of the National Assembly of Kuwait, sent their wishes to Haiti.

Morocco :

His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of wishes and congratulations to President Michel Martelly, on the occasion of the 209th anniversary of Haiti's independence. In his message, the sovereign extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes for health and happiness to the Haitian President wishing further progress and prosperity to the Haitian people friend. The Sovereign also takes this opportunity to express to the Head of State of Haiti, its firm commitment to continue to work, in conjunction with him, in order to give a new impetus to relations of friendship and cooperation linking the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Haiti, in full compliance with the specificities of the two countries for the greater benefit of friendly peoples, and to contribute to the development of South-South cooperation.

Algeria :

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, has sent a message of congratulations to the President Michel Martelly, on the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of Haiti, reiterating its willingness to strengthen cooperation relations between the two countries, indicated a statement from the Algerian presidency. "May I be permitted to join in the celebration of the National Day of your country and to address you, on behalf of the people and the Algerian government and on my own behalf, my warmest congratulations as well as my best wishes for health and happiness for yourself, of progress and prosperity for the Haitian people friend [...] would like to take this opportunity to reiterate my willingness to work jointly with you to strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries," added the President Bouteflika.

Bahrain :

On the occasion of the 209th anniversary of Haiti, His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, 12th sovereign of Bahrain sent a telegram of congratulations to the President Martelly, to express his best wishes for happiness and good health to this occasion.

Kuwait :

Ali Al-Rashed, the President of the National Assembly of Kuwait, Tuesday sent a cable to his counterparts of Haiti, Levaillant Louis-Jeune, President of the Chamber of Deputies and Simon Dieuseul Desras President of the Senate, to congratulate them, in that day of 209th anniversary of Haiti's independence.
