Haiti - Culture : Spectacle in support to the project of young filmmaker «Foukifoura»
Saturday at the initiative of the Cultural Centre Zantray, an unprecedented spectacle was held at the Belvedere Club of Jacmel, in the context of a series of cultural events : evenings reading, exhibition, street theater, organized by the Centre since November 2012, to raise funds to enable the young filmmaker jacmélien, Ilrique Perin aka "Foukifoura" [graduated of the first promotion of the school "Ciné Institute"], to make a feature film based on a a traditional tale Haitian "Thézin", hich tells the story of a fish who falls in love with a girl named Vélina.

Before an audience passionate and enthusiastic, several artists including among other Barbara Philogène, Stéphanie Julien, Jean-Marc Jean Pierre, Eder Roméus, Wilson Edmond, Annick Michel, professional opera singer, Raymond Christmas, aka "Welele nou bout", international drummer and the Saxophonist international, Thurgot Théodat, have proven their talent through their performance on stage.

The show began in an atmosphere rhythmed to the sounds of the drum and the hard of the artist Annick Michel, Canadian of Haitian origin. In her first song in Creole, "Mwen pa ka kite ayiti" opera singer, highlighted his love for the Haitian people and the country and wanted to give a new positive image of Haiti.



The author-composer-interpreter engaged Jean-Marc Jean Pierre, accompanied by his guitar led the public to reflection with his song "Nan Prizon", which describes bluntly, the socio-political situation in Haiti.

All these artists, who have performed for free, wanted to support the project of young filmmaker jacmélien, whose they welcomed the initiative, which will help promote the Haitian cinema and to "Foukifoura" to exercise his art and take control of his future.

Note that in 2011, "Foukifoura" represented his school "Ciné Institute" at the festival "Rencontres Henri Langlois" in Poitiers, France, where he had the opportunity to meet new foreign filmmakers with whom he continues to work on the final version of his project.
