Haiti - Diplomacy : New Ambassador of Haiti in Brazil
Madsen Cherubin, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti to the Republic of Brazil, presented his credentials last week to the President of Brazil Mrs. Dilma Rousseff. During his meeting with the President of Brazil, Ambassador of Haiti, transmitted the warm greetings of President Michel Martelly, as well as the gratitude of the Haitian people for the support whose benefits Haiti from Brazil.

After having evoked together the different challenges faced by Haiti, the Ambassador reaffirmed to Mrs. Rousseff that his country relied heavily on Brazilian cooperation for the improvement of the environment and agriculture.

Mr. Cherubin holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Quebec in Montreal, and a diploma of Special Studies in International Relations from the Diplomatic School of Madrid (1989-1990). Madsen Chérubin was successively Minister Counsellor in Nassau (Bahamas) and then in the Dominican Republic where he held the same position on two occasions before being appointed chargé d'affaires of Haiti, in Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese.
