Haiti - Education : Literacy of 600,000 people in the coming months

The Secretary of State for Literacy strengthens its team on the eve of the launch of two major campaigns aimed at literacy 600.000 young people and adults, from March to September 2013.

Friday, Me Oswald Thimoleon, Secretary of State for Literacy, which was in Gonaïve to Anse-Rouge and Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye for the purpose of inventory of Offices of the Artibonite, proceeded in Hinche, to the installation of Denys Pierre, as the new Coordinator for the Central Department, a ceremony which also coincided with the inauguration of the building where will be housed the Departmental Coordination Centre.

"In accordance with the specific instructions received from the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, their Excellencies Michel Martelly and Laurent Lamothe, we must make every effort to overcome illiteracy," declared on this occasion, the Secretary of State.
