Haiti - Social : 699 Dominicans Visas issued to Haitian workers
Fritz Cineas, Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic, has indicated that the Dominican Chancellery, had granted 699 Business Visa "Visa de Negocios con Fines Laborales múltiple" (NMI) for a period of one year, to Haitian workers.

The Dominicans visas, like the Haitian passports were issued free of charge by the two governments under the agreement reached on 11 January, to solve the problem occurred after that 1.080 Haitian immigrants, were prevented from crossing the border to Dajabon after spending the holidays Christmas in Haiti. Recall that President Dominican Danilo Medina promised on January 9, to the Ambassador Cineas to give instructions to that effect.

Thursday, February 7, Ambassador Cineas, proceeded personally, to the delivery of these documents to our compatriots, in Juana Mendez, to enable them to reunite with their families and pursue their professional activities, legally.

In addition, Ambassador Cineas should receive this week, 122 additional visas. In the meantime, the Embassy of Haiti welcomed the efforts and results, which demonstrate the commitment of the administration Martelly-Lamothe to serve the Haitian citizens, regardless of their location or place in the world where they are.
