Seizure of 400 fake passports with visa
José Ricardo Taveras, the Director of Immigration in Dominican Republic indicated that around 400 fake passports with visas Dominicans had been seized at the border and 3 people were arrested for counterfeiting in the provinces of Independencia and Jimani, which stated tha the network of forgers was in Haiti.

Friday, Nigel Fisher, Acting Head of the Minustah conducted a courtesy visit to Parliament. On this occasion several issues including elections, have been at the center of exchanges with the presidents of the two Chambers: Simon Dieuseul Desras for the Senate and Jean Tholbert Alexis for the Lower House. "The Minustah reiterates the call of the Security Council of the United Nations regarding the achievement of these elections before the end of 2013," declared Mr. Fisher.

Pierre Richard Casimir, Minister of Foreign Affairs reported that the preparations for the Summit of Heads of State of the Caribbean, is progressing rapidly, this summit will be held at Karibe and will ather 9 presidents and 80 delegates, the 18 and 19 February 2013.
