Haiti - Reconstruction : Laurent Lamothe met, the Spanish Secretary of State
On Friday, as part of his visit to Haiti on February 7 and 8, Jesús Gracia Aldaz, the Spanish Secretary of State for International Cooperation and for Latin America, was received at the private residence of the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe.

This cordial meeting was an opportunity for the Head of Government to provide an update on the Spanish Cooperation in Haiti and explore new avenues of collaboration "I welcome the contribution of the Spanish Cooperation in Haiti, that continues, despite the financial crisis in Spain, to support the National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) in order to ensure access to safe drinking water in the country. I take this opportunity to invite you to join the External Aid Coordination (CAED), which is now the compass to follow for a better articulation of external development assistance."

Following these discussions, Laurent Lamothe took the opportunity to remind the efforts of his Government, to mprove the business environment and attract new investment in Haiti, in order to create sustainable jobs for the people of Haiti.

The Spanish Secretary of State, which has thereafter meet with President Michel Martelly said he was satisfied with his discussions with the Prime Minister Lamothe.
