For the Minister Villedrouin a Caribbean airline is a necessity "because every time you go in the Caribbean, we are obliged to pass through the Panama or Miami, so it is important to see how we can have a Caribbean airline, that will allow us to exchange [quickly] of tourists [...] this means that when tourists come to the Caribbean, they will not stay only in Haiti or Jamaica, but they will be able to visit for example Jamaica, Haiti an then the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean countries. It is this work that we will put into perspective, while the President of the Republic of Haiti holds the rotating presidency of the Caricom for 6 months. We'll see how we can move forward on this aspect, but also we'll see how we can obtain a tax on these tourists, who will make several trips in the Caribbean, in the context of multi-destinations.
