Haiti - Diplomacy : The President Martelly congratulates Rafael Correa Delgado for his reelection

The President Michel Martelly, has transmitted his warmest congratulations to the President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa Delgado, for his re-election [56.7% of the vote] to the Ecuadorian presidential election, Sunday, February 17, 2013.

Elected in 2006, reelected in 2008 after the adoption of a new constitution, Correa shows 7 consecutive electoral victories. Catholic and socialist this economist of 49 ears has promised to deepen his "citizens' revolution".

The Head of State formulates his best wishes to President Rafael Corea Delgado at the time of reassume his new role. The President Martelly, on behalf of the Government and people of Haiti, reaffirming his commitment to maintain and strengthen the cordial relations that have always characterized the history of the two countries, hoping that the bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of Haiti will continue and strengthen in the interest of both countries.
