Haiti - Social : Distribution of baskets of solidarity at Sanatorium Sigueneau

Sunday, Rose Anne Auguste, the Minister Delegate in Charge of Human Rights and the Fight against Extreme Poverty, and Klaus Eberwein, Director of Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES), have participated in the distribution of 1,000 baskets of solidarity to the patients and external patients of sanatorium Sigueneau to Léogâne.

The Minister Delegate also took advantage of her visit to announce the subscription of the elderly living in extreme poverty, who attend this hospital at sub-program of "Kore Granmoun yo" of the National Programme of Social Assistance "Ede Pep". This initiative is falls within the framework of the multiple efforts of the administration Martelly-Lamothe in order to meet the urgent needs of the population living in extreme poverty across the country.

This is the second distribution of baskets of solidarity at Sanatorium Sigueneau and the Minister Auguste reiterated her commitment and that of the government, to support the most vulnerable and to fight against stigma and discriminationagainst all social classes and called once more, for the solidarity of everyone within the Haitian society, to fight against extreme poverty and social exclusion.
