Haiti - Agriculture : The Minister Jacques Thomas on tour in the South

Tuesday, Thomas Jacques, Minister of Agriculture at the head of a delegation composed of Vernet Joseph, Secretary of State for Agricultural Recovery, of Coordinators of projects Hermann Augustin, Jean Serge Antoine, Fritznel Désir and other officials of the Ministry, conducted a tour in the Southern Department.
Serge Chéry, Departmental Delegate, the deputy of the constituency of Camp-Perrin-Maniche, Ogline Pierre, the a.i. Executive Agents of municipalities concerned, CASECs, ASECS and Representatives of Community Based Organizations (OCB), have accompanied the ministerial delegation.
4 highlight of this tour :
- The launch of work of protection of the city of Maniche, by the PMDN.
- The launch of the spring campaign on the agricultural farm of Levy, where hundreds of farmers have received the of projet of Strengthening of Public Agricultural services (RESEPAG), of Voucher, for the spring campaign 2013.
- The launch of the project of Food Security (SECAL) funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the European Union, with the Association of Volunteers for the International Service (AVSI) as a service provider.
