Haiti - Social : Miss World Mission to Haiti

This Monday, Miss World CEO & Chairman of Variety International, a Children’s Fund Julia Morley and the reigning Miss World, Wenxia Yu (from China) will land in Haiti, accompanied by Francisco Escobar, Mr World 2013 [Colombia], Claudine Book, Miss World United States 2012, of Dr Ben Fredrick - President of Thriving Villages International, Director of Global Health at Penn State Hershey and Jack Cannons, Chief Executive Variety Children’s Charity, to see firsthand the relief efforts that are supported from 500,000 USD dollars raised by the Miss World contestants as part of Beauty With A Purpose.

Turing its stay, the delegation of Miss World, will visit remote mountainous areas to visit sites that will benefit from the Miss World fund raising activities.

Speaking ahead of the trip, Julia Morley said "I’m looking forward to visiting Haiti, it’s a country that deserves as much help as possible. We are visiting Haiti to see the fantastic work that Thriving Villages along with the water missions are doing."

Brief Itinerary :
11th March :Arrive at 12:30 from Miami – Port Au Prince Airport. Afternoon greetings by Water Mission International, staying at Water Missions International Compound.

12th March : Travel to Pestel. Visiting Heifer International, the Fever Water Hole, Dr Seneque & the Pestel Health Clinic

13th March : Visit Ferrier School, visit APPAS Field Workers, visit the Mayor of Pestel, Travel to Cayemites Island – view the Water Treatment Unit. Malnutrition screening at school, meet KPA Leadership.

14th March : Visit future sites of well-drilling, visit St. Clare School in Carrefour Citron, Travel back to Port au Prince.

15th March : 10- 12 noon Press conference and interviews.
Departure 3:10 pm flight to JFK.
