Haiti - Politic : Prime Minister's visit to Aruba 14/03/2013 16:17:10
The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe arrived in Aruba, Lesser Antilles island located off the coast of Venezuela, this afternoon at the head of a large delegation composed of the Minister of Tourism Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Deputy Director General of the National Radio and Television of Haiti (RTNH), Gamal Augustin and senior officials of the public administration. The Head of Government was warmly received at the airport by the Minister of Finance and Communications, Mike De Meza, this short visit to Aruba is part of efforts made by the Administration Martelly-Lamothe to attract new investment in Haiti.
The Prime Minister Lamothe had already met the President of Parliament (Senate) of Aruba, Pauldrick François Teodoric Croes, and his counterpart Michiel Godfried Eman, and the Governor of Aruba, Fredis Jose Refunjol in order to discuss of cooperation relations between the two countries. Currently the Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism currently visiting a new urban development project that could inspire the one of Jacmel. The Prime Minister, who has just met the Haitian community of the island, has announced that soon there will be a consulate of Haiti on the island of Aruba. See also : HL/ HaitiLibre
