Haiti - Politic : Laurent Lamothe in Ivory Coast for 72 hours

At the invitation of the Government of Côte d'Ivoire, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, left Haiti on Tuesday afternoon to go to Abidjan as part of a 72-hours working visit from Wednesday. It is expected in the Ivorian capital, Wednesday in the early evening around 7h30 p.m. (local time).

During this official visit, the Head of Government will meet the highest Ivorian authorities in particular, his counterpart Daniel Kablan Duncan and the President of Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara, in order to strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship between the two nations. During his visit, the two countries should conclude several agreements of cooperation.

For this visit, the Prime Minister is accompanied among others, of his Director of Cabinet to the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation Maxime Chérestal, of Pierre Richard Casimir, Minister of Foreign Affairs, of Spokesperson of the majority bloc in the Lower House, the Deputy Abel Descollines and Fresner Dorcin, Secretary Of State for crop production.

The Head of Government, will also take advantage of his stay in the Ivorian capital, to meet the Haitian community and listen their concerns in order to provide concrete and sustainable solutions.

During his absence from the country, the interim will be provided by Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism.
