The agronomist Frenel Sterlin, the Director of Municipal Agricultural Bureau of Petit-Goâve and members of the peasant organization "Rel Peyzan" protests against the practices of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Petit-Goâve.

Monday, April 1, on the air of Radio Preference fm, the agronomist Frenel criticized and deplored the lack of collaboration of FAO, which, however, share the same space that the Agricultural Bureau, "The FAO office in Petit-Goâve, does not have the same vision, the same strategy, the same direction nor the same procedures that the Agricultural Bureau of Petit-Goâve, to move things forward. We are ready to collaborate with the organization for the advancement of agriculture in the municipality, but most of their employees do not share this view and are not cooperative. They act alone and do not reach the expected results."

In addition, Charles Toussaint, Coordinator of the organization "Rel peyzan" denounced the FAO office, which would have asked each farmer to pay the sum of 300 gourdes for obtaining seed. He demands that the seeds are put at the disposal of the peasants for freeand that the State at the same time give them credit.
