Wednesday, during the last Council of Ministers, Jacques Rousseau, Minister of Public Works Transport and Communication (MTPTC) has announced that the construction of two Elevated Highway Interchange, in the unicipalities of Delmas and Carrefour, will be launched during the month of April, stating that the orders of declaration of public utility, for the affected areas have already been signed.

In Carrefour, a highway interchange will be built at the intersection, located between the road of Rails and the Haitian Coast Guard (Bizoton).

In Delmas, the interchange will be built at the crossroads of airport.

These two major road infrastructure, the first of its kind in Haiti, will allow to ease traffic congestion and eliminate the endless traffic jams in these two communes, real shrines of motorists.

These two works, which will cost a total of just over 30 million U.S. dollars will be financed by the fund PetroCaribe "Studies of these studies are completed and in review. These works will cost respectively $13,635,729 for Carrefour and $16,585,378 for Delmas," said Philippe Cinéas, Secretary of State for Public Works.

It's the Dominican constrution company Estrella, hat will ensure the construction of these two road infrastructure under the supervision of the firm LGL SA and the project management, will be provided by the Directorate of Public Works. The work will last 18 months. It is also Estrella, which will resume in May, the construction work halted, of the National Road # 7, Cayes-Jeremie.

In the coming days, Billboards will be installed in Carrefour and Delmas, to present the project and plans to the population.
