Haiti - Diplomacy : Martelly welcomes the election of Nicolas Maduro
The President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, sends his warmest congratulations to the new Venezuelan President Mr. Nicolas Maduro, who won the Venezuelan presidential election, which took place on Sunday, April 14, where he won with 50, 66% of the vote against Henrique Capriles who got 49.07%.

The Head of State take this opportunity to express his best wishes to the President-elect of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, upon assuming his new duties. The President Martelly, on behalf of the Government and people of Haiti, reaffirming his commitment to maintain and strengthen the cordial relations which have always characterized the history of both countries.

The President of the Republic hopes that the bilateral cooperation between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Haiti will continue and be strengthened under the new administration.
