Haiti - Warning : Ban on «Tyno» in Haiti

Dr. Marie Guirlaine R. Charité, Director General of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), advises health professionals, importers and distributors of pharmaceutical products in particular and the public in general, that the importation, distribution and use of "Tyno ®" are prohibited throughout the national territory.
This cough syrup, non homologated in Haiti, and manufactured by laboratories "Reko Pharmal in Gujranwala (Pakistan)" contains a high concentration of Levomethorphan a substance suspected of being responsible for the deaths of several people in Pakistan.
Consequently, the Ministry of Health asks the population to be very vigilant to avoid any health problem related to the use of this product.
