Friday, as part of the overall vision of the Government on the promotion of investment in Haiti, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism met in Washington DC., Ambassador of Qatar, Mohamed Bin Abdulla Al-Rumaihi, with whom she discussed reconstruction projects, as well as tourism investment projects in the country.

At this meeting were also present, Michaëlle Jean, the UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti, members of his team and René Hubert, of the Canadian company IBIDAA, which is currently developing several tourism projects in Haiti, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism.

Ambassador of Qatar was very pleased with the efforts of the Government of Haiti for the tourism development in Haiti and invited the Minister Villedrouin to participate at the end of May, to the "Doha Forum 2013" to be held in May in Doha, capital of Qatar.
