Haiti - Justice : Week of the Intellectual Property

As part of the International Day of copyright on April 23, and the World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, the Ministry of Culture, the Haitian Copyright Office and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry organizes from April 22 to 26 the The week of Intellectual Property.

The Intellectual Property includes two components, the copyright that is managed by the BHDA, under the Ministry of Culture, and industrial property, managed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

A series of activities are planned as part of this week.

From April 22 to 26 the BHDA offers you by appointment (phone: 22 45 00 85) specialists in Intellectual Property, to answer your questions and problems regarding copyright or industrial property.

Monday 22: Me Christian de Lespinasse;
Tuesday 23: Me Sibylle Theard Mevs and Willems Edouard;
Wednesday 24: Me Daphne Stephenson and Alexandra Brown;
Thursday 25 : Me Willems Edouard et Rodrigue Josaphat ;
Friday 26 : Me W, Edouard, Stéphenson, Rodrigue Josaphat and Christian de Lespinasse.

Monday 22 :
Conference: "Protection of copyright in Haiti", Faculty of Law and Economics, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with Mr. Willems Edouard.

Thuesday 23 :
Josette Darguste, the Minister of Culture accompanied by Ms. Emmelie Prophet, Director General of BHDA, will present at noon, two scholarships of an amount of 100,000 Gdes each to two students of the Faculty of Law and Economics, who chose to write their theses on intellectual property, including its economic missions, social, cultural and of protection. The BHDA will also make available to these students throughout the drafting of their memoirs, copyright specialists, who will oversee them if necessary.
