Haiti - Social : Exchanges between young people of Haiti and those of the Diaspora

As part of the activities of the National Day of the Diaspora (JND), at the initiative, newly initiated by Bernice Fidélia, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) took place a session of discussion and debate between young people of the 2nd and 3rd generation of Haitians living abroad and those local, with the mission, to ensure the liaison between the Youth of Haiti and those of the Diaspora. According to the Minister, this session, reflects the vision of the new administration to further closer the compatriots of outside to the motherland.

"The importance of the integration of young people of the second and third generation Haitians from the Diaspora" as was the focus of discussions and debates of this sharing session which was hosted by the panelists Mrs. Léanna Archer, young Entrepreneur of cosmetic products in New York, Mr. Marc Baptiste, well-known Haitian photographer, working for American magazines, Marc Alain Boucicault, Analyst of Projects to the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), MM. Davidson Toussaint (moderator, responsible for the Youth Section) the session moderator of exchange between young was the engineer Jocelyn Jean Louis, a member of the FEDHE (Federation of the Haitian Diaspora in Europe) and François Jean-Enard (presenter, consultant to the Primature). There were several delegations, including that of Europe, 16 members (the most important).

Young panelists in turn expressed their concerns about the future of the country in relation to the image projected outside. According to them, it is important to educate these groups of young people to build relationships of solidarity and belonging with their homeland.
