On Monday, the President Michel Martelly, accompanied by the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, Vanneur Pierre, went to the Southern Department, to inquire about the progress of several important projects committed by his administration. The Head of State took the opportunity to inaugurate the Lycée of Saint-Jean du Sud.

This modern educational institution, with a capacity of 18 classrooms, equipped with a computer lab was funded by the Treasury to the tune of 33 million gourdes. The furniture for the operation was provided by the Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES).

President Martelly welcomed the construction of this building, which will serve to increase the educational offer in this town and enable students to benefit from the bread of education, in the best conditions.

Thereafter, the Head of State visited Faugasse (ten minutes from the city of Les Cayes) to proceed with the inauguration of the Institute of Hotel and Tourism Training of Les Cayes.
