The Directorate General of Electricity of Haiti (EDH) informs its customers and residents of some neighborhoods of Petion-Ville, including Saint Surin, street Lambert (Canapé-Vert), Fremont, Raphaël and Lamartinière in particular, that census officers will give to each person resident, from his Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, a form to fill out concerning their energy meter to update existing customers, but also allow people who wish to have an energy meter to require sufficient information in order to curb illegal connections.

The EDH wants to emphasize that after the census, in June 2013, energy meters in Petion-Ville will be replaced by Smart Meter RF. The objective of this replacement is to allow EDH to improve the accuracy and efficiency of meter reading.

The EDH relies on the cooperation of the Haitian people and it renews its commitment to work towards the modernization of Haitian energy system.
