Haiti - Politic : The Minister of Haitians Living Abroad in Chicago

As part of the efforts undertaken by the Government of Haiti to engage our compatriots living abroad in the process of reconstructing of the country, Bernice Fidélia, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) will be in Chicago Saturday, May 25.

On Saturday evening, the Minister will attend the Seventh Annual Fund Raising Dinner of the Haitian Congress to Fortify Haiti, in which she will issue a message to the intention of all Haitian communities in the Midwest. This event will be held at the White Eagle Banquets, located at 6839 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois from 6:30 pm.

Lesly Condé, the Consul General of Haiti in Chicago, recalls that "here is an opportunity to welcome this important personality whose role is to walk with the whole diaspora as it participates in the reconstruction of Haiti [...] and encourages th large Haitian family of the City of Jean-Baptiste Pointe DuSable and surrounding areas, to participate in this important event, because the future of Haiti, our country is at stake."
