Haiti - NOTICE : The access to the places Saint-Pierre and Boyer formally forbidden...
Thursday, May 24, 2013, in order to put an end to truancy to which some pupils and students are engaged, Yvanka Jolicoeur Brutus, Mayor of Petion-ville has decided to take action and issued a notice to the intention of these young offenders and responsible of school institutions.

"From the publication of this notice, the ccess to the Places Saint-Pierre and Boyer is formally forbidden for schoolchildren and students of primary and secondary schools, both private and public, in the hours of classes, or from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This measure aims to prevent and combat a situation of negative deviation manifests in some young people who engage in truancy, rather than being present in their classrooms.

These young people, that are present in public places with the uniform of their schools project a negative image of these schools, this is why the Mayor of Petion-ville requests, also the accompaniment of those responsible of these institutions to prevent such excesses in the future."
