Haiti - Social : Situation at the Toussaint Louverture airport
Following the incident that occurred Sunday at the International Airport Toussaint Louverture, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-8656-haiti-security-boeing-707-off-the-runway-at-the-toussaint-louverture-international-airport.html hundreds of passengers saw their flights [incoming and outgoing] canceled or diverted to Las Americas Airport (Santo Domingo) in the Dominican Republic without knowing why airlines have not chosen the the international airport of Cap-Haitien, as an alternative landing.

Many passengers whose flight has been canceled, mainly of the AA company, complained of not being supported by airline company.

According to Pierre André Laguerre, Director General of the National Airports Authority (AAN), the situation returns to normal, most airlines have resumed their flights Monday with the exception of American Airlines whose service is expected to resume on Tuesday assured Mr. Laguerre, who wished to clarify that the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, had nothing to do with the American Airlines decision to cancel its flights, noting that the Brazilian aircraft, was not on the airport runways.
