Haiti - Education : Seminar to better prepare laws and regulations

As part of the institutional reform initiated by the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, the Primature began Monday, May 27, 2013, at the Ritz Kinam II, the first day of a 3-days training seminar on legistics, to provide to the executives of the public service the techniques related to the procedures for the preparation and adoption of laws and regulations. This seminar is part of a series of initiatives of the administration Martelly-Lamothe, to improve the quality of draft laws, laws and orders submitted by the Executive Branch in Parliament.

This workshop will also allow the participants to become familiar with the basic rules of legislative drafting and methodical approach. "The complexity of texts and their number increased demand that we have the practice and techniques leading to the conception and development of texts that take into account not only the questions of vocabulary and style, but also the aspects of the editorial methods appropriate to the arious categories of texts," indicated Lucien Francoeur, the Secretary General of the Primature who stresses that these reforms are intended ultimately to enable the public administration to become modern, efficient, friendly standards and have qualified human resources in the service of citizens.
