Haiti - Justice : Severe warning to school directors...
In a statement signed by Vanneur Pierre, Minister of Education and Denis Cadeau, the Director General of this institution, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) launches a severe warning to school directors, inspectors and any other agents, against the use of checks of deceased employees or in situations of abandonment. It is a fraudulent practice punishable by law and regulations in force recalls the Ministry.

Within the framework of the fight against all forms of corruption, initiated by the Government in the public administration, the Ministry reminds, the obligation imposed on them to inform as soon as possible, their superior of the cases relating for administrative suites.

In addition, the Ministry informs "that a work of treatment of outstanding checks, in relation to agents actually in office, is currently underway. About a hundred checks have already been recovered to date from an inspection carried out in several lycées of the Department of the West. Other departments currently organizing the same process. The amounts received will be used for the regularization of teachers waiting for a titularization for several years.

At a time when a major effort is being made by the state to promote access to education, the MENFP believes that scarce financial resources available at the public treasury must be used wisely for the benefit of the system."
