Haiti - Tourism : Inauguration of an important tourist facilities in Milot 07/06/2013 09:39:56
Located about 1.5 km at the foot of the Citadelle, the parking of Choiseuil was reorganized in a major Reception center including a restaurant, an infirmary and an interpretation audiovisual room. 11 kiosks selling crafts were also built on the area of this structure for the benefit of small merchants of the area. The President Martelly, in his speech, said that this investment will bring order and make more attractive excursions at the National Historical Park, stressing the need for the population to invest in the education, real instrument of change.  "It is necessary to invest in the reception facilities if we want to attract visitors in our tourist sites" stressed the Minister of Tourism, moved before this work achieved in less than one year. She welcomed the accompaniment of the local population, the youth of the community, regional authorities and the Departmental Directorate that have been of great support to the realization of this important achievement. The population of Choiseul was satisfied with the outcome of the project and residents say they are happy for the attention that the Administration of President Martelly, gives the population of this region. Note that these infrastructure projects of tourist receptions, initiated by the Government fall within the framework of action plans of the Ministry of Tourism for development of tourist sites.
