The Directorate General of Electricity of Haiti (EDH) informed that electricity generation at the thermal power plant of Portail Guêpe has been restored after the delivery of about 8.000 gallons of fuel to overcome a shortage of stock fuel causing the shutdown of the plant since Monday, June 3. The EDH would like to thank the local authorities, who have mobilized to take steps to remedy the situation quickly.

However, the EDH deplores the acts of sabotage and the launch of bottles and stones against the Central of Portail Guêpe, by malicious individuals. The Directorate of the EDH, wish that such acts do not recur and seek the cooperation of the population in the area and asked it to accompany it in his fight against all kinds of sabotage, which prevent it to serve and satisfy the population as it would like to do.

Furthermore, the EDH informs that the extension of bar of 115 KV for the supply of a new 50 MVA transformer will continue on Saturday, June 8 at the substation of Ancien Delmas. As a result, residents, among others of : the Municipality of Delams, Airport Road (section Sogebank and Clercine), Nazon, Christ-Roi, Bel Air, Lalue, Silot and Fragneau Ville will be without electricity until 2:00 pm.
