Haiti - Agriculture : Distribution of 800 fishing kits in the North East

After the distribution last week, of a first batch of 400 fishing kits to 400 small fishermen of Fort liberté, as part of the continuation of subprogram "Kore Peche" which is part of national program "Ede pèp", the Office of the Minister Delegate for Promotion Peasantry (BMDPP) distributed 400 others kits in Phaéton, first section of the town of Terrier Rouge, and Dérac, a town of the first section Dumas.
The objective of program "Kore Peche", whose financial management is provided by the Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES), is to increase the incomes of small-scale fishers and allow greater availability of seafood on the market in order to reduce gradually the import of seafood in Haiti.
