Haiti - Elections : A delegation of CTCEP in Mexico

Saturday, a delegation of Transitional College of the Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP) led by its President, Emmanuel Menard, arrived in Mexico to participate in an international workshop of electoral administration, organized by the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE).

From July 1st to 4th,Electoral Advisers of the CTCEP, will exchange with their counterparts on various aspects of the electoral process.

According to Emmanuel Menard "These 4 days will be beneficial for advisers who will have the opportunity to share their experiences with their Mexican counterparts," including the particular interest of CTCEP for electronic voting.

For his part, Ambassador of Haiti to Mexico, Guy G. Lamothe stressed that this initiative was part of the Haitian-Mexican cooperation. "Mexico manifest for many years its interest in supporting democracy in the country in particular the strengthening of institutions."

The Federal Electoral Institute (IFE) is a public body, autonomous and independent in its operation which fully responsible to prepare, organize, lead and monitor federal elections. The organization is also responsible for reviewing and adjusting the electoral geography. It deals with the integration and updating of the voter register, ensures the rights and prerogatives of the national political parties and groups, provides and develops permanent civic education programs.
