Monday, Fresnel Jean-Baptiste, Director General of the General Administration of Customs (AGD) announced that AGD had collected 2 billion 460 million 274 thousand 113 gourdes for the month of June 2013, stressing having recorded no revenue collection shortfall over this period.

The Director Fresnel Jean-Baptiste, noted that from October to June, the customs had experienced an increase in revenue of 1 billion 443 million 310 thousand gourdes compared to the previous year [17 billion 673 million Gdes] and that the struggle against smuggling, is effectively pursued across the country while calling for citizen participation.
