Haiti - Environment : Congratulations to the Cuban cooperation

Tuesday at the Palace of Conventions of Havana, Jean-François Thomas, the Minister of the Environment speaking at the 9th Session of the International Convention on Environment and Development, thanked Cuba for its assistance in the reforestation of Haiti to fight against the harmful effects of environmental degradation, a major problem in the country that involves other sectors such as health.
The Minister stressed that Haiti had the support of Cuban experts in terms of reforestation, forest management and education among other things "The Cuban cooperation is one of the most important, because it is done in very high scientific terms [...] There are Cuban technicians in the field, which helps us in reforestation programs and environmental education in Haiti."
