Haiti - Politic : Warm welcome for the Presidential couple in Orlando

Saturday on the sidelines of the 104th annual convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), President Michel Martelly accompanied by his wife Sophia, the Consul of Haiti Miami, Francois Guillaume II and members of the Haitian delegation was warmly welcomed in MCO Orlando Airport among others by the Ambassador of Haiti in Washington, Paul Altidor, the Consul General of Haiti in Orlando, Laurent Prosper, District 5 Commissioner, Daisy W. Lynum, District 6 Commissioner Samuel B. Ings, Kathy DeVault, Director of Strategic Partnerships Office of the Mayor of Orlando Buddy Dyer and James Réginald Colimon of the Communications Office of the Mayor of Orlando.

The Head of State, who will deliver this Sunday, July 14 a speech on the occasion of the Convention, will take advantage of his stay in the United States to meet with elected Haitian-Americans, members of Congress, the Board of Directors of the NAACP and the Haitian Community in Orlando.

For her part, the First Lady of the Republic, Mrs. Sophia Martelly, will deliver an address in a luncheon to be held at the "Orange County Convention Center", Monday, July 15, where she will address the challenges of health and measures to improve the Haitian health system.
