"Vietnam wishes, wishesin conjunction with Haiti, effectively implement cooperation agreements in the areas agreed by the two countries for their mutual development," said Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi, on receiving Wednesday in Hanoi, Wilson Laleau, the Haitian Minister of the Economy and Finance Minister also acting of the Industry and Commerce, on a working visit to Vietnam.

"Vietnam and Haiti cultivate traditional friendly relations [...] Their economic cooperation has achieved recently encouraging results, however, potentials and strengths of their bilateral cooperation in several areas, including the economy, still remain very important. Both countries need to strengthen the exchange of delegations at all levels to accelerate concrete cooperation activities.

Vietnam is ready to share its experiences with Haiti in term of socio-economic development, encourage and promote investment of Vietnamese businesses in Haiti in a spirit of equality and mutual benefit," told his counterpart Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, adding that Vietnam will increase its exports in Haiti.

For his part, Wilson Laleau declared that Haiti in conjunction with ministries and services of Vietnam, will do its best to promote bilateral cooperation in all areas, wishing amon others that the Vietnam shares his experiences and good models with Haiti in management, socio-economic development, education and training, professional learning. "Haiti welcomes the Vietnamese companies that invest or operate in the long term, especially in the construction, textile, agriculture, telecommunications, maritime transport," said the Minister Wilson Laleau, who also proposed to strengthen trade and ensured that Haiti was ready to serve as entrance door [platform] to Vietnamese products for a marketing in Latin America.
