Haiti - Diaspora : Prime Minister, guest of honor at the graduation ceremony of Azure College

Saturday, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe was in the United States to take part in the graduation ceremony of the third promotion in nursing science of Azure College, held at Bahamar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. The Head of Government who spoke before an audience of students, professors and influential American leaders of the Haitian community in Florida, urged the new graduates to use the newly acquired knowledge in order to be useful in their respective communities.

"This graduation day will mark without doubt your life, as was the case for me. Today is the day for which you have worked hard for years. This is the time when your life takes its way," informed the Prime Minister, who pointed out that he was also a graduate of an University of South Florida.

Prime Minister justified his presence at the ceremony by the fact that Azure College [founded in 2004], is the result of the determination and commitment of a couple of Haitian immigrants, which has knew make their way in American society by successfully establish this institution through which many students from diverse backgrounds have been trained. The Prime Minister said he was impressed by the results of the Azure College, considered as one of the best nursing schools in the state of Florida.

The Prime Minister who was the guest of honor at the ceremony also invited the Haitian diaspora to follow the model and philosophy of Azure College, which, has a 100% rate of placement of his students.

For hi part, Jhonson Napoleon, President of the Azure College, after thanking the Head of Government for having accepted to be the guest of honor of this graduation, has provided some advice to young graduates. He also took advantage of the occasion to announce a donation of 10 scholarships to Haitian government, for a total amount of 400,000 U.S. dollars, as well as a computer lab with a value of $25,000.

The Prime Minister encouraged the Haitian graduates of this promotion, to go back in Haiti to put their knowledge at the service of the Haitian people.
